Describe the problem you had…

“My problem was a slow gradual one that escalated without me realising. Driving over bridges is an every day thing for me, but I was taking different routes to work to avoid them. Ladders became a problem too, to the point where I was prepared to turn jobs away.

Why did you choose hypnotherapy/NLP to deal with this?

We didn’t realise there was any help apart from Prozac’s until we looked online, so it was well worth a try.

What did you find most useful in your hypnotherapy/NLP sessions?

Learning how your mind works, how if your conscious mind and unconscious mind don’t agree your life can change dramatically. Panic attacks can be controlled and reasoned with.

How has your situation/life changed since the hypnotherapy/NLP?

By using my new found mind training, the future looks alot brighter, I still know at the moment that I am going to go over a bridge, but me and my subconscious work together to do it, and sometimes it’s fun! In my opinion it was the best money I could have spent. Thank you!

I have brought Gemma’s CD’s so I can continue the good work at home.”

Describe the problem you had…

“Jealousy of my partners’ children from a previous relationship, particularly his daughter. I felt second best and as if I didn’t really matter. This was particularly frustrating as I had absolutely no reason to feel that way, as I have such a supportive partner whos priority was to make us all happy. I just couldn’t accept that I could be anywhere near as important as his children, no mater what he did or said. This really got me down and it would constantly play on my mind and I hated myself for doing it.”

Why did you choose hypnotherapy/NLP to deal with this?

“I had tried regular counselling several times and it made no difference whatsoever. I felt like I needed a miracle cure, not just talking to a person. NLP & Hypnotherapy, although not a true miracle seemed like a more powerful way of dealing with my emotions.”

What did you find most useful in your hypnotherapy/NLP sessions?

“I had two sessions with Gemma, the first being NLP. It was incredible how much it changed the way I was thinking after just one session! It didn’t make me feel any different at first, but I did come away feeling a bit more confident. I had to put what I had learnt into practise that week and by the end, I could alreqady feel a change. The next session was hypnotherapy. this was the icing on the cake. Gemma knew exactly what to say in order to help me get a completly new perspective on my life and how I was feeling. What she said could only have been used for me and I know that she totally understood what was required to help me. I came away feeling confident and happy.”

How has your situation/life changed since the hypnotherapy/NLP?

“As I said earlier, this is not a miracle cure and I do still get some acute pangs of jealousy, but the main thing Gemma did was to give me the tools to beat that feeling. I find that I am so much happier on a day to day basis, and I can now enjoy my life again! My closest friends, family and work colleagues have all noticed a change for the better in me. It no longer takes over my life and I thank Gemma for everything she has done!”

How has your situation/life changed since the hypnotherapy?

“I’ve done it!! Since the sessions not a drop of alcohol has passed my lips. I am so pleased with my achievement. Also withdrawal symptoms/cravings have been minimal. Going forward I need to keep up momentum (as I still get drawn towards vino on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons), but I now have your download. Many, many thanks Gemma for helping me address a very challenging issue & for helping me to free myself from the chains of addiction. I am so grateful, I also like your style and approach. I have recommended you to several friends. Thanks again!”

Describe the problem you had…

“I had anxiety attacks for about one year. After trying acupuncture for with no success I realised the problem was actually in my mind. I searched on the internet and found NLP was relevant to me. In my sessions, I learned how I am the creator of my anxiety attacks. After a few sessions I became more at ease and had a good anchor point for any attack that could arise. After a while I became unconscious in the way I dealt with my attacks and now I have my life back to how I want it.

It was also good to speak to someone who is understanding and helpful and able to point me in the right direction plus I found it easy to understand NLP. I have now had more session for other areas of my life for the better.

I’ve found NLP to be successful and now have my normal life back which has made me so much happier.”

Describe the problem you had…
“Smoking.”

“Because I used it before and stopped for one year.”

“I’ve stopped smoking now- Thank you for sorting me out!”

Describe the problem you had…
“Lack of a positive outlook on life in general and for myself personally – I felt I had no future plans, felt uninspired and fed up with the negative behaviour patterns I’d learned as a child/young adult.  Felt confused.”

Why did you choose hypnotherapy/NLP to deal with this?
“I remember a time in my life where I believed in positive thinking – I had heard that NLP was much the same thing – having had no experience  of it and since I felt I couldn’t get any lower , or as Gemma described me – as flat as lemonade with no bubbles .. I wondered if NLP would provide me with a new way of looking at at positive thinking.  The only way was up and a friend had told me that through seeing a life coach her future now had a direction. I made appointments with 2 life coaches, and choose Gemma – with whom I felt most comfortable.”

What did you find most useful in your sessions?
“I found the sessions on visualisation most amazingly, powerfully really good.  With Gemma’s help I came up with a future plan and learnt how to visualise it.  Through my sessions with Gemma I gave myself dreams, I gave myself time to come up with a future and her skills of NLP and life coaching helped me achieve them.

I found Gemma’s meditation sample (which can be found on her website) to be one of the best I’ve heard, it relaxes me every time.”

How has your situation / life changes since the hypnotherapy/NLP?
“My fiancé and I have our wedding booked and we are looking forward to starting a family.  I am now living my dream/visualisation!

I have learnt some tools to help me achieve good things – goodness and fun feel more familiar now – it’s great – the tools have helped me achieve love and respect which are priceless to me and mean more than any money in the world.   Through Gemma I achieved realising what I wanted, how to visualise it and now through using her meditation and visualisation tools regularly I feel myself moving on from the past and into a future I have control over, one I choose.   I have thoroughly enjoyed writing this testimonial – it feels good to look back and take stock of how my life has changed since seeing Gemma for life coaching and NLP.”

Describe the problem you had….
“Problems sticking with diets. Will power alone wasn’t working- I spent too long obsessing about food.”

What did you find most useful in your hypnotherapy sessions?
“A lot of unconscious changes. I now feel more positive in general and better able to resist the self -destructive urges that wreck diets. The Like to Dislike exercise was especially useful as it neutralized two of my biggest weaknesses- bread and biscuits which now have much less appeal. All I can think of is horrid soggy porridge. YUCK!

I’ve stuck with my diet all the way- over 2 months now, and lost over 1 1/2 stone and 2 dress sizes.”

Describe the problem you had….
“Our son suffered from loss of self confidence after losing his baby sister. Having just missed passing his 11+ by one point, he is also unable to go to the grammar school he wants (and where his two best friends are going). We became concerned that he was not trying at school and giving up before understanding how easy the work actually is.

He just needed to know how to cope with situations. Instead of becoming overwhelmed and dissociating himself, retreating and withdrawing, we hoped that he would feel better at confronting problems and have a more positive outlook.

From what he tells us and from your emails following sessions, I think he has learnt to communicate more confidently (especially with adults) and is not so nervous about saying or doing the wrong thing.”

What did you find most useful in your therapy sessions?
“Learning calming techniques, where he can do finger exercises to make him feel in control of himself and the situation. This has helped his self confidence enormously.

I think he has made unconscious changes, in that he now tries to reach his full potential instead of denying that he is good enough to even try.

He has more faith in his abilities and stands up for himself in an argument. He also does more (i.e. homework) independently- it’s great!

He has become a lot more chatty and will talk about worries more openly. He is still the quietest and most sensitive of our five children, but we are so pleased to see he is happier in himself. He is very popular- has some good friends, and is looking forward to a positive future. Thank you so much!”

Describe the problem you had….
“Needle phobia.”

Why did you choose this therapy to deal with this?
“Had exhausted all other options.’

What did you find most useful in your sessions?
“Difficult to be precise, but I think it is unconscious changes that made the impact, coupled with our feedback sessions. I think my general levels of confidence have increased.

I’m now enrolled in a new drug programme for my severe rheumatoid arthritis- the drug can easily be administered by injection- having at last been able to manage a blood test (needles again!) This will hopefully ease my symptoms (extreme pain/restricted movement) and open up a whole new life. I am so grateful for your help, especially as previous psychotherapy failed to produce results.”

Describe the problem you had….
“Lack of confidence in relationships. Didn’t know how to express my feelings in relationships with boyfriends and other friends. Wanted to increase interpersonal skills.

I believe that hearing information necessary for self improvement is more beneficial in a controlled environment with no interruptions. Also going into the subconscious mind meant for me personally that it sticks for longer and seems more relevant/correct.”

What did you find most useful in your therapy sessions?
“Belief in yourself, what you are saying. Increased confidence to say thoughts without worrying about being judged on them. -That things do happen for a reason and to accept what happened and move on instead of worrying about it or delving too deep for the reason why.”

How has your life changed since your sessions?
“More positive, relaxed and outgoing. Thank you Gemma!”

Describe the problem you had….
“Lack of self confidence/self esteem. Had tried many other options, including antidepressants for 4 years. I had nothing to lose and an open mind.”

Gemma made me feel extremely comfortable. There was an impact without me consciously having to try. Gemma was a great support and helped me to put things into perspective. It was deeply relaxing.

I am more in control, more laid back and am not longer having panic attacks.”

Describe the problem you had….
“Nail biting- I did not feel I was consciously biting my nails, therefore could not see any alternative ways to behave. Hypnotherapy had previously helped me with smoking and relationship problems.”

What did you find most useful in your sessions?
“Stress management has definitely improved, I don’t feel as tense and therefore bite my nails less. It’s very important to be comfortable with the person hypnotising you. I’d had several unsuccessful attempts previously with other therapists and feel it was due to the fact that I didn’t feel comfortable.

I think I’m am cured! My nails are starting to grow.”

Describe the problem you had….
“Smoking!! I had to give up!!

I’d tried several methods, but they did not work. Hypnotherapy seemed to be the only method left.

The session was an experience I won’t forget. I never dreamed that I could be so relaxed. The method used was great, it really worked. I came out of there very determined.

I still do not smoke and it’s the start of something great!! My life has not changed, I still go out for a drink and have a laugh but I feel so much better. Thank you so much, Gemma!”

Describe the problem you had….
“Having lack of confidence in myself at work, particularly in a meeting situation, where I would find myself going very red in the face if I had to participate in those meetings.”

Why did you choose this therapy?
“I thought this would help me psychologically and give me the skills to overcome the lack of confidence I felt.”

“I found the sessions very useful as they got me thinking about the root of the problem and by talking about the issues they helped me to be aware of why the situations were occurring, which I had not acknowledged previously. We worked with various motivational techniques as well as hypnosis which were all very useful.

I have found myself getting less worked up in a meeting situation and am therefore more confident and do not find myself going red as I would have previously.”
